Badgers pick up first win, Green Knights leveled in first loss

The Wisconsin Badgers and St. Norbert Green Knights had opposite results in Saturday’s college football action. The Badgers beat up on Eastern Michigan in a 34-7 victory behind Chez Mellusi’s 144 yard performance on the ground. The Badgers accrued 352 total rushing yards with their three headed monster at running back which includes Mellusi, Isaac Guerendo and Jalen Berger. 

 

The St. Norbert College Green Knights fell on the road to UW-Stout by a 34-14 final. The touchdowns from the Green Knights came in the first and fourth quarter. The first was on a 22-yard pass from Ben Kohl to John Bunks. In the fourth quarter and down 34-6, Kohl found Parke Lawrence from 35 yards out and a two point conversion brought the score within a 20 point margin. 

 

Both the Badgers and Green Knights are 1-1 overall this season. SNC travels to Lakeland University for their next game on Saturday. The Badgers get a bye week before they take on Notre Dame at Soldier Field on September 25th.
