The Green Bay Phoenix women's soccer team needed a little extra time to get past Chicago State on Sunday.

Mckayla Kertscher scored her first goal of the season in the eighth minute to give the Phoenix the early lead. The Cougars would score in the 69th minute and the game would stay there after 90 minutes of action. Emily Murphy sent the Phoenix back on the bus in a happy mood with her first goal of the season in the 93rd minute.

They will have a few days off before playing Northern Illinois on September 9th at 5 p.m.
