Brewers walk off in grand fashion

The game and the series were in doubt until Dan Vogelbach stepped in to pinch-hit in the Milwaukee Brewers' thrilling 6-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Before the bottom of the ninth inning, Pablo Reyes drove in the Brewers' only run  with a solo shot in the second inning. The Cardinals would score three times in the fourth inning and add on another pair in the seventh inning to put the game seemingly out of reach. In the bottom of the ninth, Luke Maile started the rally with an RBI single to make it 5-2. A double and a walk later, Vogelbach in his return to the lineup took a 1-0 pitch to right field bleachers to give the Brewers the series win.

The Brewers' farm teams got into the fun as well with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers walking it off with a three-run homer and the Carolina Mudcats copying the Brewers' feat with a game-ending grand slam.

The Brewers will stay in town to face the Phillies with a first pitch of 1:10 p.m. Monday.
