Bucks and Bud sign on for three more

After winning his first NBA Championship as a head coach and helping Milwaukee get their first title in fifty years, Mike Budenholzer has been rewarded with a three-year contract extension. Budenholzer is heading into his fourth season as a head coach, and in his time with the Bucks, he’s amassed a 162-65 regular-season record. The new contract ties Milwaukee and Budenholzer together through the 2024-2025 season.

This coming season will be the 75th anniversary season for Milwaukee, and it will start against the Brooklyn Nets at home on October 19th. That is when the Bucks will receive their 2020-2021 championship rings. For Budenholzer, who was an assistant coach for San Antonio from 1996-2013, it will be his fifth NBA championship ring in total.
