Brewers end road trip with rare loss

The recent road trip for the Milwaukee Brewers was as good as you could have asked for up until its final game with the St. Louis Cardinals, where the Brewers lost 8-4. After the top of the fourth inning, the Brewers held a 4-1 lead thanks to doubles from Manny Pina and Willy Adames and a single from Kolten Wong. All three hits collected at least one RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, the Cardinals scored five runs to go up 6-4. The Brewers would not be able to recover in the loss.

In the Brewers ten-game road trip that went through Wrigley Field, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis, the Brewers won eight out of ten games. The Brewers are now 74-48 this season and 8.5 games ahead in the NL Central. The Brewers face off with the Washington Nationals at 7:10 PM on Friday.
