The Green Bay Packers have teetered on the safe side when it comes to their second-year quarterback Jordan Love since halftime of Saturday’s preseason game with the Houston Texans. That may continue as Packers head coach Matt Lafleur said his status for the game on Saturday, October 21st is uncertain. In an off season vital to Love’s development and in his first preseason, his shoulder was “dinged” on a strip-sack just before halftime of his first NFL game action. Matt Lafleur told reporters after the game that the minor injury was the reason they didn’t play him in the third quarter as originally planned. Jordan Love described it as a “strain” in a postgame press conference.
Jordan Love did not take practice reps on Monday, leaving the Packers with Aaron Rodgers and Kurt Benkert. In what may be a response, the Packers worked out former Central Michigan quarterback Quinten Dormady.
