Booyah lead slips in tight loss to Rafters

The Green Booyah got two runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 2-1 lead over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, but late in the game the Rafters took the lead back and won 3-2. The Booyah gave up a run in the bottom of the first to go down 1-0 right away. In the fourth inning the Booyah’s runs came on an RBI double from Brett Blair that scored Tristin Garcia and later an RBI double from Alec Danen that scored Brett Blair.

From the top of the fourth inning to the bottom of the sixth, the Booyah had a 2-1 lead. The Rafters tied the contest in the bottom of the sixth and then scored a run to give them a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth. That would be all the Rafters needed to down the Booyah. The Booyah fall to 12-23 on the season and will face off with the Lakeshore Chinooks at 6:35 PM on Friday in a home duel.
