Booyah split doubleheader with Dock Spiders

Once again playing under the GOATS moniker, the Green Bay Booyah split their double header against the I-41 rival Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Sunday afternoon in Ashwaubenon.

The Booyah fell in game one 7-2 with a Nadir Lewis' solo home run in the first inning and a Brett Lewis sacrifice fly a few innings later providing the only offense. The Dock Spiders catapulted themselves to the win with a four-run first inning that the Booyah could not recover from in the seven-inning game.

The Booyah would rebound in game two with a 3-2 victory as the road team, making up for a game rained out in Fond du Lac. Down 1-0, Lewis came through with an RBI triple and was driven in by Tristin Garcia one inning later.  After the Dock Spiders tied the game in the bottom half of the inning, Brett Blair hit the eventual game-winning home run in the top of the seventh inning.

The Booyah hit the road to face the Madison Mallard for their second day of doubleheaders. The first of two games is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
