Booyah fall to Rafters in extras

The Green Bay Booyah were outlasted by the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, 9-8, on Friday evening. The Booyah looked poised to take the game over after going up 4-1 in the top of the fifth inning. In the bottom half, however, the Rafters scored two runs to tighten the gap. The same sequence happened again the following inning, as the Booyah scored two runs to go up by three in the top of the sixth inning just to have the Rapids tack on two runs in the bottom half. After six complete innings, the score was 6-5.

In the bottom of inning number eight, the Rafters scored three runs to take an 8-6 lead. Green Bay answered with two runs to tie the contest in the top of the ninth and send the game to extra innings. In the bottom of the tenth, Wisconsin Rapids won the game on a walk-off walk. For the Booyah on Friday, Tristin Garcia grabbed a home run.

The Booyah travel to Fond du Lac to take on the Dock Spiders at 6:35 PM on Saturday.
