Bucks trade for Grayson Allen

Six years after breaking the hearts of Badgers basketball fans, Former Duke University and Memphis Grizzlies guard Grayson Allen is coming to Wisconsin after being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. It was reported on Friday that the Bucks traded Sam Merrill to Memphis and two future second-round picks for Allen.

Allen is a three-year NBA veteran, and started 38 of the 50 games he appeared in this season. Allen averaged 25.2 minutes per game and 10.6 points to go with them. Allen spent two seasons in Memphis after being drafted by the Utah Jazz in the 2018 NBA draft.

Allen earned a reputation at Duke as a competitor, but also ruffled feathers with multiple tripping incidents that even led to discipline from his team and the ACC. Allen was a big part of the Blue Devils 2015 NCAA Championship win over Wisconsin as a freshman when he scored 16 points. The former All-American is coming to the Bucks at just 25 years old.
