Rafters float past Booyah

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters scored five times after the sixth inning to beat the Green Bay Booyah 8-3 Thursday at Capital Credit Union Park in Ashwaubenon.

The Rafter got on the board twice in their first at-bats, but the Booyah were able to cut the lead in half thanks to a lead-off Brendan Ryan home run. The Rafters would get that run back in the top of the second but the Booyah would tie it up a few innings later. In the sixth inning, Tristin Garcia cleared the bases with a two-RBI triple that scored Nadir Lewis and Dayson Croes. The bullpen would fall late for the Booyah as Christian Orr was tagged for two runs on three hits in under two innings of work. Bryce Miller gave up three runs, but all of them were unearned due to a pair of errors.

The Booyah will return the favor to the Rafters and play in Wisconsin Rapids Friday night beginning at 6:35 p.m.
