Brewers win thanks to seventh-inning rally

The Milwaukee Brewers found themselves on the brink of a second-straight home loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday, but a strong seventh-inning changed their fate in a 4-2 win.

The Brewers got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the third inning on an Eduardo Escobar RBI single that scored Kolten Wong. The Pirates took over, scoring runs in the top of the fourth and sixth inning. The bat of Rowdy Tellez was the difference maker as he smoked his fifth home run of the season in the bottom of the seventh inning. The three-run shot also scored Luis Urias and Manny Pina. That was the last time either team scored.

The win improves the Brewers record to 65-44 and they hold a 7.5 game lead over the Cincinatti Reds in the NL Central standings. The Brewers have the day off before facing the San Francisco Giants on Friday at 7:10 PM in Milwaukee.
