Fans were greeted by some new faces in the Milwaukee Brewers' 6-2 win over Pittsburgh on Monday night.
Eduardo Escobar made his Brewers debut and did so with two big hits. With the Brewers up 1-0 in the sixth inning, Escobar clubbed a RBI triple and later scored on a bases-loaded walk to make it 3-0. He would make it 6-0 when he hit a three-run homer the very next inning.
John Axford's return to Milwaukee did not go as smoothly as he gave up two hits walked in one run in just one-third of an inning as the Brewers tried to end the game. Axford's signing was announced earlier in the day after a successful stint with the Blue Jays' Triple-A team after leaving the broadcast booth. Brad Boxberger came in and got the save.
The two teams square off again at 7:10 p.m.
