Brewers open series against Royals

The Milwaukee Brewers will take a backseat to the Bucks for at least one night as the division leaders take on the Kansas City Royals. 

 

The Brewers picked up right where they left off after the break with a three-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds to open up the second half of the season. The Royals were on the opposite end of a three-game sweep, losing to the Baltimore Orioles on consecutive nights at home.

 

The Brewers and the Royals in a pair of matinees beginning Tuesday at 3:10 p.m. Eric Lauer will pitch for the Brewers and face the Royals' Mike Minor. The switch in the start time was predicated by the Bucks' home NBA Finals game that could potentially be a title clincher. The two teams will play each other again on Wednesday at 1:10 p.m. 

 

In other Brewers organization news, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers open their six-game set against the South Bend Cubs Tuesday night at home.
