Booyah go to splitsville versus Chinooks

The Green Bay Booyah split their rain-induced doubleheader on Sunday by scores of 3-2 and 6-5 against the Lakeshore Chinooks.

In the morning game, the Booyah struck first with Dalton Pearson scoring on a wild pitch to make it a 1-0 lead. The Booyah would score twice in the fourth inning when Tyler Hollow went yard to make it 3-0. The Chinooks would make things interesting late with single tallies in the fifth and seventh innings but pitcher Logan Lee limited the damage as he went the distance for the Booyah.

In the afternoon matchup, the Booyah struck first again with four runs in the opening frame. The Booyah took advantage of an error to score their first run and strung together enough singles and run-producing outs to put them in the driver's seat. The Chinooks would score one run in the fourth but five in the sixth to give the Chinooks a lead they would not give up. Evan Estridge had been cruising right along until that star-crossed inning.

The Booyah are in action against the Wausau Woodchucks on the road Monday for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch.
