Glory drop match against Dutch Lions

A rough five-minute stretch for the Green Bay Glory was all that was needed in a 5-2 loss to the Chicago Dutch Lions on Sunday evening.

The game was scoreless through the first 30 minutes of play, but the Dutch Lions scored three goals in five minutes to give them a 3-0 lead. The Glory would get on the board in the 43rd minute when Shaelynn Gerred knocked in a rebound off the corner kick to make it 3-1.

The Glory would get a little closer just over six minutes into the second half when Hannah Kroupa headed in a goal off the corner kick to make it 3-2.

The Dutch Lions would go on another flurry of goals thanks to a penalty kick and touch goal just three minutes later to give them the final margin of victory.

The Glory are back in action on July 10th at Capital Credit Union Park at 1 p.m. for the first of a home-and-home against Bavarians Soccer Club.
