Peoria's explosive eighth inning derails Rattlers

Though the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were looking to continue their momentum from their win on Tuesday, they fell to the Peoria Chiefs by seven runs. The game was tight, with the Rattlers down 3-1 heading into the eighth inning, the Chiefs blew the doors open with six runs in the top half. The Rattlers answered with five of their own, including a two-run home run from Kekai Rios. Peoria put the game out of reach with a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning, and won 13-6.  Wisconsin’s record this season is now 19-24, and the next game with Peoria takes place on Thursday. The Timber-Rattlers will host the contest with first pitch slated for 7:05 PM.
