Bucks and Nets go to wire in instant classic

In a game seven showdown between the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets in the second round of the NBA playoffs, it took extra minutes to crown a series winner. The game racked up twenty lead changes, as Milwaukee won 115-111 in a contest that will go down as one of the most memorable in Bucks history. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant went toe-to-toe with over forty points each, but Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will head to the Eastern Conference finals behind his forty point performance. Khris Middleton scored twenty-three, Brook Lopez went for nineteen and Jrue Holiday had thirteen. P.J. Tucker pitched in eleven points and played thirty-eight minutes. Much of Tucker’s task had to do with trying to contain Kevin Durant.

Minimizing Durant was proven tough to do as he scored forty-eight points, including a buzzer beater two pointer at the end of regulation which was just inches away from being a game-winning three. James Harden was the Nets second leading scorer with twenty-two points.

Milwaukee came from being down in the series twice. The Bucks were down 2-0 in the series before tying the first time. The Bucks were down 3-2 in the series before winning the last two games. The Bucks await the winner of game seven between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Atlanta Hawks.
