Voyageurs tie Chicago FC United

Playing a man down for the majority of the game caught up with the Green Bay Voyageurs on Wednesday as their winless season continued at Seat Geek Stadium in Bridgeview with 1-1 draw against Chicago FC United.

The Voyageurs saw the red card in the 25th minute as the referee ruled that Jake Kelderman took a United player down to deny a clear scoring chance. It would remain scoreless until the 49th minute when Dominic Briggs found the back of the net to make it 1-0. A penalty in the 70th led to a Diego Gutierrez penalty kick goal in the 71st minute to make 1-1. The two sides would trade chances the remaining 20-plus minutes, but both walked with registering a point.

The draw gives the Voyageurs their second point of the season as they still look for the first victory. That will have to wait until Saturday when they face St. Louis Scott Gallagher.
