Administrators at area school were able to nominate student-athletes to receive recognition for work they did on the field, court, mat, and in the classroom. Packerland principals were able to nominate two boys and two girls students for Scholar Athlete awards. Criteria was for the athlete to be a second semester senior, earn at least four varsity letters over their career, and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Scholar Athlete Award nominees:
Algoma: Trevor Nell, Jackson Schoening, Breanne Schmidt, and Hanna Wiese
Gibraltar: Alex Laughlin, Marcus Reinhardt, Mia Chomeau, and Abigail Fitzgerald
Kewaunee: Alexander Rohr, Jack Severin, Cierra Brann, and Claire Kohnle
Sevastopol: Logan Beyer, Spencer Evenson, Zoe-Rose Kuehn, Olivia Stenzel
Southern Door: Kyle Conard, Marcus Marchant, Hailey Shimon, and Ella Wienke
Sturgeon Bay: Ben DeNamur, Ashley Alberts
Principals were also able to nominate athletes for the Outstanding Achievement Award which is based on additional criteria. The student must have competed as a three-sport athlete in their junior and senior years, earned a minimum of seven athletic letters, and maintained a minimum of a 3.9 cumulative GPA.
