The quarterback cupboard went from bare to full in the matter of a week after the Green Bay Packers signed Kurt Benkert officially on Monday.
According to Packers.com, Benkert is a second-year player out of the University of Virginia. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons on May 1, 2018 and played on their practice squad in 2018 and 2020. He was hurt in 2019.
In addition to Jordan Love and possibly Aaron Rodgers, the Packers also have veteran Blake Bortles in the mix ahead of mini-camps and OTAs.
