Booyah add two including homegrown talent

A Northern Illinois pitcher-catcher duo will be playing their Summer baseball in Green Bay this year. On Monday, the Green Bay Booyah announced the signings of Pitcher Connor Langreder and Catcher Jacob Shroeder. Both are redshirt freshmen for NIU.

Langreder will get to play a stone's throw away from his hometown of West De Pere, WI. The pitcher has started in five games on the hill, and is 2-2 so far this season, including 28 strikeouts. Langreder was a high school standout, winning three conference championships and having a .96 era his senior year, which earned him an honorable mention All-State nod.

Behind the dish is Jacob Shroeder who is a Flossmor, IL native. This season, Shroeder has started in eight games and has five hits so far. In 2020, before the season was called off, he played in eight games and started five, and was hitting .389 on the season.
