Gamblers look to slow down Chicago in weekend set

The Green Bay Gamblers visit Geneva, Ill. this weekend for what has proven to be their toughest test of the season: playing the Chicago Steel.

The Gamblers are 1-4-1 so far against their southern rivals, getting outscored 37-23 in those contests. The Steel has been the top-scoring team in the USHL with 192 goals scored while boasting the league's top four scorers and the most points. Gamblers head coach Pat Mikesch says despite the offensive prowess of the Steel, you can't abandon your game to play to theirs.

The Gamblers will play Friday and Saturday at the Fox Valley Ice Arena as they continue to chase the Steel in the standings. Both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. You can listen to our full interview with Mikesch in Green Bay Gamblers Central on NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com.
