Gamblers complete sweep over Phantoms

Two second-period goals kept the Green Bay Gamblers' sweep alive with a 4-2 victory on Sunday afternoon at the Resch Center.

After going down 1-0 in the first period, Ryan Greene found the back of the net near the halfway point to ensure the Gamblers went into the locker room tied at 1-1 apiece. The Phantoms would start the period strong again with another early goal in the second, only to see the Gamblers tally two goals off the sticks of Jackson Kunz and Xan Gurney. Jesse Tucker scored a short-handed goal in the third to put the game on ice for the Gamblers.

The Gamblers will head to Geneva this coming weekend to face the Chicago Steel for a pair before returning to the Resch Center for a Tuesday night make-up against the Dubuque Fighting Saints.
