Gamblers skate over Team USA

The Green Bay Gamblers saw some quality ice time at home on Wednesday night as they pulled off a win over Team USA, 6-3.

Gamblers found revenge over the U18 USA squad after falling to them in preseason play in October. Green Bay pulled out to a 3-0 lead in the first period of play after Jackson Schmaltz, Alex Servango and Ryan Kirwan slapped in some goals. Green Bay continued that momentum into second period play and added another goal while USA tallied two as well to bring the game within two scores. Green Bay finished the game off with two more goals while USA only generated one more goal in the final period of play to solidify a three goal Gambler win. Gamblers goaltender Matt Davis saw his stateline improve to six wins after fending off 26 shots on goal by USA. Gamblers forward Servango led the squad in goals with two total, one that qualified as the game winner. The Gamblers saw their record improve to 9-2-1 on the season and will see another matchup versus USA on New Years Eve at the Resch Center for a 6:05pm puck drop.
