Gamblers leave for Des Moines on Lohrei's game-winner

The bus ride across Iowa got a lot nicer thanks to Green Bay Gamblers defenseman Mason Lohrei.

The Boston Bruins draft pick drilled the game-winning goal five minutes into the third period to give the Gamblers the 2-1 victory over the Waterloo Blackhawks. Jackson Hallum followed up his hat trick with his fourth goal of the season late in the 1st period to give the Gamblers a 1-0 lead. The Blackhawks would tie it up in the second period when Tucker Ness knocked a goal in halfway through the stanza. Lohrei's game-winner in the third was his second point of the game after contributing to the game's first goal. Aaron Randazzo sparkled in the net as he stopped 43 of the 44 shots he faced.

The Gamblers head west once more this weekend to take on the Des Moines Buccanneers, which was shut out by Sioux City Friday night 4-0. Puck drops at 6 p.m.
