Bucks continue to make moves

The Milwaukee Bucks continue to restructure their roster as Bucks general manager Jon Horst struck deals with three key free-agent players on Saturday.

Guard, D.J. Augustin signed with Milwaukee for a three-year deal worth $21 million and forward Bobby Portis signed for a two-year contract worth $7.5 million with a player option for the second year of the deal according to ESPN’s Adrain Wojnarowski. Free-agent shooting guard Pat Connaughton will re-sign with Milwaukee for a three-year deal over $16 million after ESPN’s Wojnarowski found that Excel Sports Management restructured the original deal from a $8 million two-year agreement on Friday night.

Augustin spent last season with the Orlando Magic and was utilized as the primary backup point guard that averaged 10.5 points per game while playing over 24 minutes per game. Portis, 25-years-old will come into the organization spending time with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards and most recently New York Knicks. The power forward has accumulated a 5.9 career rebound per game average while shooting 45% from the field. These acquisitions come shortly after the departure of Ersan Illyasova and Robin Lopez.
