The Milwaukee Bucks took a pair of shooters with their draft selections Wednesday night. The Bucks initially had the 24th overall pick, but that was given to the New Orleans Pelicans in the deal for Jrue Holiday. 

The aftermath of recent trade and draft acquisitions put the Bucks draft selections into the second-round for picks No. 45 and No. 60. Jordan Nwora out of the University of Louisville was selected as the 45th pick, the 6-foot-7, 22-year-old is a small forward that was on the path to third team All-American honors last season according to USBWA. Nwora is recognized as a strong shooter because of his 40%  three-point success rate. He averaged 18 points and over 7 rebounds in his last season with Louisville. In June of 2018 Nwora played for his father in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers and averaged over 21 points with 8 rebounds.

With the final pick of the draft, the Bucks picked Sam Merrill of Utah State University. Merrill is noted as one of the drafts premier shot makers. The 24-year-old, 6-foot-5 guard earned the 2019 Mountain West Player of the Year award, while he averaged nearly 20 points a game, draining 41% from the three point line and making 89% of his free throw shots. The Bucks rookie draft class will have a short turnaround compared to previous draft class years as the first game is set for December 22nd.
