Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook had a career day Sunday as the Green Bay Packers fell 28-22 at Lambeau Field.

 

Both teams traded long drives in the first quarter with the Packers cashing in on a five-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams and the Vikings answering from 21 yards out on a Cook rush. It was deja vu in the second quarter as well with Adams and Cook each scoring again on long drives.

 

The Vikings opened the half with the ball in the 3rd quarter tied 14-14 and promptly marched down the field again for Cook's third touchdown of the day. Cook would visit the endzone again after the Vikings forced the Packers to turn the ball over on downs and caught a 50-yard screen pass to help take a 28-14 advantage.

 

Adams caught his third touchdown pass of the day late in the fourth quarter and the Packers would get the ball back with just under a minute to go. Rodgers fumbled as he was hit throwing ball and the comeback attempt was thwarted. 

 

Cook's four touchdowns tied a Vikings record for scores in a game by a single player, tying Ahmad Rashad.  The Packers will have a quick turnaround after seeing their season mark drop to 5-2. They head to Santa Clara for Thursday night football to face the San Francisco 49ers.
