As Northeast Wisconsinites search for the “Trophy Buck” this hunting season, the harvest numbers are reporting well in Door and surrounding counties. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources calculates Brown County has 537 harvested, Door County reports 568 harvested and Kewaunee County reports 467 harvested. Hunters hope to add to the harvest total season as deer are becoming more active because of the rut. The state has harvested 28,382 total and the numbers look to increase with gun season soon approaching.
