Packers get back on track against Texans

Despite a late scratch of running back Aaron Jones, the Green Bay Packers' offense was able to figure things out in their 35-20 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Jones was declared out earlier in the day due to a calf injury, turning the running game over to Jamal Williams. He was able to find the endzone in the fourth quarter as a part of a 19 carry, 77-yard day. Before that, it was all Aaron Rodgers. He threw three of his four touchdown passes in the first half, finding Davante Adams in the first quarter and then hooking up with Jace Sternberger and Malik Taylor in the second quarter.

The Texans finally got on the board in the third quarter thanks to a David Johnson touchdown catch from Deshaun Watson to cut the lead to 21-7. Rodgers was able to find Adams again to get their 21-point cushion back on a 45-yard touchdown pass. The Texans would kick two field goals and find the endzone a second time in the fourth quarter but fell to 1-6 on the season despite a 300-yard day passing from Deshaun Watson.

The Packers will host their first home game in almost a month on Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings visit Lambeau Field.
