Gamblers promote Mitchell to team president

After well over a decade with the organization, the Green Bay Gamblers have elevated Jeff Mitchell to the role of team president.

PMI Entertainment Group, which owns the Gamblers and manages the Resch Center, announced the decision on Monday to promote Mitchell, who has served as the team's director of business and promotions since 2008. He will report to Brendan Bruss, who previously served as team president prior to his own promotion to PMI Entertainment Group President.

According to the release, As director of business & promotions, Mitchell was responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the Gamblers.  Under his leadership the Gamblers have consistently ranked near the top in league attendance, shown consistent growth in corporate sponsorships, and introduced promotions that have gained national acclaim.  On the hockey side, Mitchell has served as a liaison to the hockey staff and assisted Bruss in the hiring of head coaches Jon Cooper, Eric Rud, Derek Lalonde, and current head coach Pat Mikesch.

All Green Bay Gamblers home games will air this season on 104.1 WRLU and streamed at NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com.
