Packers Possible Trade Target

With Devin Funchess opting out, Allen Lazard injuring his core, and Davante Adams dealing with injuries the last few years, the Packers may need to think about trading for a receiver to ensure their offense won’t stall. The perfect trade target for General Manager Brian Gutekunst might be Curtis Samuel of the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers just signed free agent receiver Robby Anderson in the offseason and have another young promising star in D.J. Moore. Curtis Samuel is in the last year of his contract and the Panthers won’t be in contention to make the playoffs this year. Samuel is 5’10”, weighs 196 lbs, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds. His speed and elusiveness could make the Packers offense even more explosive than it is now. If the Panthers keep losing, they may trade the 24-year old for a draft pick instead of letting him leave in free agency after the season. Curtis Samuel could be the wide receiver every Packer fan was hoping the team would add in the offseason.

The NFL trade deadline is October 29.
