Brewers' Season Comes to an End

The Milwaukee Brewers season came to an end on Thursday night as they fell to the Dodgers 3-0. After losing game one, the Brewers needed to win games two and three in order to advance to the NLDS. Brandon Woodruff received the loss in a performance that saw him strike out nine batters and give up three runs in 4 2/3 innings. The Dodgers were able to score all three of their runs in the fifth inning. Austin Barnes started off the scoring with a single to bring Chris Taylor home. In the next at-bat, Mookie Betts doubled to drive in Austin Barnes and A.J. Pollock. The Brewers offense was shut down as the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw pitched a gem. Kershaw earned the win by striking out 13 batters and keeping the Brewers scoreless in eight innings.
