Brewers Struggle in Game One

The Milwaukee Brewers snuck into the MLB playoffs on the last day of the regular season to capture the National League’s last wild card spot. In a best of three series, the Brewers fell to the one-seeded Dodgers 4-2 in game one. The Brewers couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start as Brent Suter walked four batters in the first, with two of them resulting in Dodger runs. In the second, Mookie Betts drove in Chris Taylor with a double to give L.A. a 3-0 lead. Milwaukee was able to battle back when Orlando Arcia hit a two-run home run in the fourth to cut the lead to one. Unfortunately, that would be the only offense of the night for the Brewers. Los Angeles would increase their lead with a Corey Seager solo home run in the seventh. Brent Suter received the loss as he walked five and gave up three runs in 1 2/3 innings. Suter only walked five batters throughout the entire regular season. The Brewers now need to win two straight over the Dodgers in order to advance to the NLDS.

Game two is set to start at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
