Brewers Even Series

After dropping the first game, the Milwaukee Brewers narrowly beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 to even the series. Things didn’t look good early as Cincinnati’s Nick Castellanos hit a 2-run home run in the first. Brett Anderson went on to shutout the Reds over the next five innings. He only allowed four hits and struck out seven batters. Milwaukee’s offense was kickstarted by a Tyrone Taylor home run in the fifth to cut the lead to one. In the seventh, Orlando Arcia drove in Daniel Vogelbach off a sacrifice fly. Later in the seventh Eric Sogard would give the Brewers the lead with a double to score Jedd Gyorko. The Brewers will look for a much needed series win in game three.

Brewers host the Reds in the final game of the series Wednesday night at 5:40 p.m.
