Fans were not invited anyways, but the Green Bay Packers will not be offering anything resembling a Family Night scrimmage this year.
The organization made the announcement Wednesday, saying changes to the training camp structure, the cancellation of the preseason, and also the secrecy other teams have displayed in recent weeks helped form their decision. The television and radio networks for the Packers will instead air classic games and preview shows as a replacement.
The Packers' first game is on the road September 13th against the Minnesota Vikings.
