Teams await WIAA decision

As Packerland Conference schools move into Phase Two of its plans to restart action, the WIAA may register those efforts as moot.

The WIAA Board of Control could decide as soon as Thursday on whether to cancel the fall sports season, move it to the spring, or continue as scheduled. Wissports.net reported last week a plan brought forward by schools in the southern part of the state would move the fall sports season to March 2021 with the schedule continuing through May, forcing the spring sports to take place that and continue into the summer. The meeting comes after the School District of Menomonee Falls canceled its summer sports program due to an outbreak and members of the Big Eight Conference in the Madison-area announced Tuesday it would not be holding any of its events this fall.
