Clippers football faces tough task in Bonduel trip

Category: Local Sports

The Sturgeon Bay football team will make the trip to top-ranked Bonduel for their penultimate game of the season on Thursday.

The Clippers are coming off a 28-8 loss to rival Southern Door last Friday. Trailing 28-0 late, Quarterback Trygg Stuth lofted the ball to Alex Boden, who shook off the initial defender and outran the rest of the defense for an 89-yard touchdown, the Clippers' only score of the night. Stuth found Jack Higginbotham on the 2-point conversion to make the final score 28-8.

The Bears are ranked number 1 by Bound Wisconsin with good reason, boasting a 7-0 record and scoring 35 or more points in five of their wins. That includes last week's 42-21 win over Oconto.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
