Sturgeon Bay Defeats Algoma in Four Sets

Sturgeon Bay earned a 3-1 victory over Algoma Thursday night, winning 26-24, 24-26, 25-18 and 25-18.

 

Izzy Schoeneman led the Clippers offensively with 15 kills, hitting .333, and added 3 aces and 8 digs.

 

Audrey Harrington had another strong all-around performance, finishing with 14 kills on hitting .400. Harrington also added 11 digs, 1 ace and 1 block.

 

Setter Makenna Coyhis directed the offense with 48 assists, while also contributing 2 aces and 1 kill.

 

Reen Walker added 8 kills, 13 digs, 2 aces and 2 blocks.

 

Prudence Goettleman contributed 5 kills, 2 aces and 1 block, while Auna Anderson added 5 kills and 2 blocks.

 

After splitting two tight opening sets, Sturgeon Bay took control of the match in the third. The Clippers hit an impressive .455 in the third set, recording 13 kills on 22 attempts with only three errors, and carried that momentum into a 25-18 fourth-set victory to close out the match.
