The Sturgeon Bay soccer team finished off a season sweep of their peninsula rivals on Thursday with a 2-0 win over Gibraltar/Sevastopol in Fish Creek.

The Clippers tallied a goal in each half to end their week on a happy note. Head coach Jesus Mejia Jr. praised his team for dominating possession, but tipped his hat to the United for their defending to cause some issues early on in the match. "We applied so much pressure they couldn’t get anything forward," he said. "However, Gibraltar/Sevastopol did an unbelievable job making it difficult for us to break them down as we got closer and closer to the goal."

The Clippers are off until next week when they face Kewaunee, while the United are back on the pitch Saturday when they host Freedom for a matinee.
