The Door County United swim team heads to Clintonville for its next meet on Thursday.
In their September 4th meet, DCU put up a good fight against Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School on Thursday, September 3rd. Wittenberg-Birnamwood scored 87 points, and DCU scored 68 points. Highlights of the night included freshman Ashlyn Sixel (SDHS) placing first in the 200-yard freestyle, scoring six points for the team. She was aided by Quinn Sperber (SDHS), who later placed first in the 100-yard backstroke, scoring six more points for the team. DCU also placed first in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, consisting of Sperber (SDHS), Rachel Rock (SEV), Jillian Peterson (SDHS), and Sixel (SDHS) placed first, adding eight points to the overall score.
The first events begin at 6 p.m.
