The Sturgeon Bay soccer team left the door open late in its road match on Thursday, allowing the Providence Paladins to score two goals late in a 3-2 loss.

 

The Clippers led the match 2-1 entering the final 20 minutes of the second half before a penalty kick set the Paladins up for a penalty kick goal.

 

 

It looked like the Clippers would escape Providence Academy with a 2-2 draw, but Isaiah Faulkner's corner kick curled to the far front post and could not be dug out of the goalmouth to give the Paladins their first-ever win against the defending Packerland Conference champions.  

 

 

The Clippers are back in action on Saturday when they play at West De Pere.
