The Sturgeon Bay soccer team hopes to return to the win column in Howard when they face the Providence Academy Paladins on U-102.1 Thursday afternoon.
The Clippers outshot Kiel 18-7, but it was the Raiders that made the most of their opportunities in a 4-3 loss for the Clippers. Finn Stevenson opened the scoring in the match's first five minutes, but the Raiders responded with two goals of their own to take the lead. The Clippers got the lead back with two more goals to make the score 3-2 before allowing two more goals to drop the match.
The Paladins are 3-1 on the season after dropping their first match of the season on Tuesday, 3-0 to Pulaski. Junior Kellan Landes leads the Paladins with 12 goals on the season, which is good for the second-most in the state.
Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin will have the call on U-102.1 beginning at 4:15 p.m., with the pregame show followed by the kickoff at 4:30 p.m.
