The Sturgeon Bay baseball team tunes up for the WIAA Tournament on Thursday with a Monday matchup against Kiel.
An Ethan Kratcha double in the third inning was all the Clippers could muster in a 5-0 loss to Crivitz on Thursday. Colton Arpke sank Clippers across his seven innings of work, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out five. The Wolverines did not need much more than their three runs in the first inning, but they also tallied insurance runs in the third and fourth inning to make the early lead stand. Elijah Van Eperen took the loss for the Clippers, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out two in one inning of work.
The Raiders are 17-0 entering the game, posting a win over Oconto after series sweeps against Valders and Brillion.
First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
