The Sturgeon Bay Clippers’ season came to an end tonight with a tough 13-3 loss to the Kiel Raiders in five innings.
Sturgeon Bay started strong with two quick defensive innings and an exciting second inning at the plate. Audrey Harrington opened the inning with a walk after a strong at-bat. Kadence Patza, Cora Frangipane, McKenna Poh, and Regan Kasten each followed with singles for the Clippers.
A long third inning proved costly for Sturgeon Bay while a seven-run fourth inning ultimately spelled their demise as the Raiders registered four walks and three hits including a bases-clearing double.
Patza recorded two RBI and Kasten drove in another in the Clippers loss.
Bristol Will took the loss in the circle and recorded one strikeout.
