Sturgeon Bay golf goes back to work Monday at Peninsula

The Packerland Conference will meet again on Monday for a 4 p.m. tee time at Peninsula Golf Course in Ephraim

 

Last Thursday, the Sturgeon Bay Boys' Golf Team competed in a Packerland Conference match at Maxwelton Braes in Baileys Harbor. The Clippers battled to a tie for 3rd place, posting an impressive team score of 183. Sturgeon Bay finished just one stroke behind Sevastopol, who claimed second with a 182, making for a tightly contested conference showdown. Kewaunee won the meet with a score of 177.

The Clippers were led by Ben Ash and Ashton Benzinger, who each fired a 45, while Noah Potier added a strong 46. Caleb Nielsen continued the solid team performance with a 47, and Trygg Stuth rounded out the scoring with a 48. It was another balanced team effort for the Clippers as they continue to stay competitive early in the season. Kewaunee's Evan Maccaux and Gibraltar's Henry Wehrenberg tied for the meet's lead at 39.
