Sturgeon Bay’s girls soccer team dropped its first conference match of the season Thursday, falling 2-0 to Providence Academy/NEW Lutheran.
The Clippers slipped to 2-3 overall with the loss. Sturgeon Bay generated limited offense, recording two shots, including one that struck the post for a near miss.
Freshman goalkeeper Prudence Goettleman made four saves to keep the game within reach.
Sturgeon Bay returns to action Saturday with an early morning match against St. Mary’s Catholic.
