The Sturgeon Bay Lady Clippers softball team started out the season strong with a 10-8 win over the Blazers Monday afternoon. Audrey Harrington and Regan Kasten both singled twice, McKenna Poh had three singles, Izzy Schoeneman had a double and a single of her own and was a force to be reckoned with on the mound with nine strikeouts.
Genevieve Austad was a wall behind the plate with several blocks, and tore up the bases with her steals, she also had an in the park home run. Keira Wesley, and Kadence Patza also had hits to lead the Clippers to a victory!
The Clippers lead 7-3 in game two- the game was suspended with Sturgeon Bay as the home team. That game will be finished at a later date.
