Sturgeon Bay All Conference Selections

The Packerland conference has revealed its all-conference teams for basketball and wrestling. Between both sports, Sturgeon Bay had 6 Clippers represented. 

 

Earning all-conference first team honors for wrestling were Spencer Madsen (Senior), Julian Langer (Senior), and Tiani Lemieux (Senior). Madsen was also named the Wrestler of the Year, finishing the season with 49 wins to only 2 losses and a 4th place finish at the WIAA State Tournament. Madsen earned 23 of his wins via pin and 17 from tech falls. Langer ended his season with a record of 33-16 with 21 pins and 9 techfalls. This season, Langer never lost to a Packerland opponent. Lemieux, representing the girls’ team, had an impressive season, going 40-7 with an outstanding 38 pins.

 

Making all-conference teams for basketball were Ben Ash (Junior), Sam Fruzyna (Junior), and Regan Kasten (Senior). Kasten earned 1st-team honors; she led the Lady Clippers with 9.7 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. Ash was named to the second team, averaging 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and a steal per game. Fruzyna was an honorable mention, putting up 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and a steal per game.
